Just as few doodles

I did these girls, the first one a tutorial on hair, the second one was just me trying out drawing on  a background- something I should do more of!!!  Why do I keep drawing faces? Maybe it's because I don't see many people? Maybe I'm drawing aspects of myself ( I'm sure Freud and Jung would have a field day with that!) Still, I've been drawing them for a while, and I'm not going to stop anytime soon :)

Art journal page - She is free

This Art Journal page was based on a page from Helen   https://www.journalwithpurpose.co.uk /   and the girl is loosely based on a printable by Ali Brown -  https://alibrowncreative.com    While I am on the subject of Helen Colebrook, I have to say I highly recommend joining her Patreon. She posts a lot and there's other benefits too . The reason I wrote "I am free" is simply because I feel like that these days. I am released from work, I am peaceful. I am not a slave to social media or chasing a inauthentic life. Here is where I begin. I acknowledge I am very lucky to feel this way. Its been a long time coming and I have struggled with many things. The peace of mind I am feeling at the moment is unreal :)

I have finally started drawing again!

I did this from a tutorial over on YouTube : https://youtu.be/hGpn37uHcS8 I highly recommend this channel. I have found value in it.  The blue one on the left was done following the tutorial. The one on the right was done afterwards.  Getting back into stuff isn't about being perfect. Done is better than perfect. Especially in this instance! :)

So, Ive left Social Media

So, I've left Facebook, Instagram, and What's-app too. This is a bit drastic, but i have opened my eyes to "Big Brother" - he has a name and It's Meta. A leopard cant change its spots and neither will Meta/Facebook I don't think. I'm not sure about you, but I value my privacy (this is being done on a dummy account!!) . I've become paranoid about being followed or watched on the net. It used to be a safe place - I've been on it for a VERY long time. It used to be a pleasant place to be, and its really not now. I was never all over Facebook anyway, so this doesn't really bother me - i wont miss it. However I will miss Instagram, I have made a true friend on there, and I have emailed him so that we don't lose contact. However, I have lost a few people I wanted to keep up with but as someone said to me, Its a small price to pay for getting your life back (not that I posted much on there, Instagram is another story lol) Sometimes you have to tak
